The now-twentysomething Bynes had leading roles in 2006's gender-bending high-school comedy "She's the Man" for Dreamworks and Warners' 2003 election comedy "What a Girl Wants;" she had a supporting role in New Line's "Hairspray" last summer. Bynes also is set to star opposite Harry Connick Jr. in "Living Proof," the Craig Zadan-Neil Meron medica drama set to air this fall on Lifetime. She also has had a starring role on the long-running syndicated sitcom "What I Like About You." Bynes' move comes after a slower period on the agency carousel. In the spring, a raft of talent swapped agencies, including Robert DeNiro, who left CAA for Endeavor, and John C. Reilly, who departed Endeavor for CAA. Emile Hirsch, Ben Stiller Miley Cyrus and Paul Thomas Anderson were among those who departed their respective agencies. |

Planning to return are director/choreographer Adam Shankman, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and Tony-winning songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who will write new songs for the film. No cast has been engaged yet, and none of the stars of Hairspray had sequel options. But the studio hopes to reunite the original cast in a film that will be ready for release by Warner Bros. in mid-July 2010. The first film starred John Travolta, Christopher Walken and Nikki Blonsky as well as Zac Efron, Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Marsden, Amanda Bynes, Elijah Kelley and Allison Janney. Aim is to pick up the Baltimore saga of the Turnblad family after the resolution of the first film, which was set in 1962. Source: Coming Soon |

 "Charlotte’s Web 2 star Amanda Bynes was in town for a friend’s bachelorette party this weekend, dining at Sushi Roku inside Caesars Palace Friday night with five other ladies. On Saturday, the crew took in the 11 p.m. show of Thunder from Down Under at Excalibur for the government recommended dosage of pre-marriage pectoral consumption. |
