Plans are being made to turn funny girl Amanda Bynes into a guy -- beginning in June, when she starts filming 'She's the Man.' Beautiful Bynes is the subject of a makeup and wardrobe challenge being taken on by the team behind the movie, which is being produced by Lauren Shuler Donner for DreamWorks. Amanda told us recently that she wouldn't mind taking it easy this year while her 'What I Like About You' WB series is on its seasonal hiatus -- if she didn't find a movie project she considered worthwhile. She did. That project is a modernized take on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, with Amanda as Viola. In this version, she's furious because her girls' soccer team has been cut from funding, which leads to her dressing up and pretending to be her long-lost twin brother, Sebastian, so she can get out on the field and play. Naturally, complications arise when she falls for her new roommate -- the yet-uncast Duke. Bynes, who has Randal Kleiser's 'Lovewrecked' feature comedy in the can and Fox's animated hit 'Robots' still playing, takes her young fan following quite seriously. She makes it clear she has no intention of participating in the kind of gratuitous sex and scatology-filled teen flicks that so often find their way to screen. She is especially careful to consider her role modeling role on her series. Though some of the characters on 'What I Like About You' take a casual attitude toward sex, Amanda notes, 'My character definitely doesn't view sex that way. She's a virgin who wants to be in love, who takes sex seriously. But just like other series -- from 'Sex in the City' to 'One Tree Hill' -- sex plays a part in the show because it plays a part in real life...We try to sort of show, with my character and Jennie Garth's character, that it's not a casual thing. I know for myself and my parents, who are at every taping, we definitely would be ashamed if the show was like that
