Chapter 6:

I looked at Mary-Kate. Man, she's beautiful. I like, so want to kiss her, but I'm scared of how she'll react.
"Well, I better head back. Face the scariness of Josh" I said with a laugh.
She looked disappointed but laughed with me. Even though there was absolutely nothing funny about my statement. It was just nervous chatter.
"Well, bye" I said leaning down to kiss her on the forehead then chaning my mind. I kissed her on the lips instead. Surprisingly she kissed me back. I was rather surprised. I kind of expected her to run away screaming.
Low self esteem. Who me? Never!
---Mary-Kate---
"Bye" I whispered as Michael and I pulled apart, I then went into my dorm. I leaned against the door. Wow!
---Michael---
I went inside my dorm a grin still on my face.
"How was it?" A bored voice asked.
"Great!" I said goofily.
"Well, I'm glad you had fun. Me? Well, I had to give my entire semesters spending money to your girlfriends twin!"
"Sorry, man" I shrugged as I hung up my jacket.
"I'm gonna have to get a job now!"
"Promise me one thing?"
"What?"
"That you'll use your first paycheck to buy a clock. So you don't end up driving into cute girls cars anymore"
"Ashley is not cute!"
"You're crazy if you can't see that man, Truly crazy" I walked into my room.
"Well, she isn't!" Josh insisted.
I just shook my head and smiled.
---Marykate---
I walked into my dorm to hear Mel, as she liked to be called, singing an old Mandy Moore song.
"Remember me? Feels like forever, since the days. When we were friends. Don't understand, all these changes. I'm still the same. No need to pretend. Where'd it go? Do you know? Maybe it just doesn't matter. But when I try to talk to you, it feels like I'm not getting through to you"
I sat down in front of her "Lets talk then!" I said with a laugh.
She stopped singing and grinned as she sat down next to me "TELL ME EVERYTHING! How'd it go?"
"It was great. He's great... it was great!" I said happily.
We talked some more and she questioned me on every detail, until she decided she had to go do some study and I decided to go see Ashley.
---Ashley---
I heard a knock at the door. Somehow I managed to beat Nikola to it. Maybe cause she had heavy metal playing through her headphones and the music at full volume!
"Mary-Kate!" I screamed. Hugging her as though I hadn't seen her for years
We went into my room and she told me all about her date with Michael. Needless to say I was a bit worried about her dating my arch enemies room mate. But, I decided not to say anything. I did rather like Michael. If only it weren't for Josh.
Mary-Kate glanced at her watch "Wow! We've been talking for an hour. I better go back to my dorm and get some sleep. I have classes tomorrow" She said.
"Ok" I hugged her and she left.
When I finally got to bed I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow

I woke up in a good mood the next morning. (I wouldn't have if I'd known what the day would hold.) It was my first full day of classes. I had 4 today!
I jumped up turned my cd player on and started dancing as I made my bed. I always do that. It makes a totally boring job fun. Yeah, I admit it. I'm weird!
I was in for quite a shock as I walked into my classroom. Who did I pass by at the door? That's right Josh! I can't believe I have a class with that jerk!
I know the civil thing would have been to say hi. But I didn't feel civil and by the look on his face, neither did he. So we maturely... ignored each other.

"The class will be organized into pairs. You will work with your partner for the rest of the year." The teacher said
"Do we get to chooose our partners?" One person asked.
"They have already been chosen"
The entire class moaned.
The teacher started reading the names "Sarah & Susan, Tom and Renee, Ashley and Josh-"
My head shot up. I glanced over at Josh, He glanced at me, Eyes wide. This couldn't be happening!
I put my hand up.
"Yes Ashley"
"Um, Could I have a different partner?"
"I'm sorry. The list has been made. You can't change partners."
"But-" I desperately tried to argue.
"I'm sorry. That's how it is"
Josh and I looked at each other. NO WAY!!!!
Chapter 7:
---Josh---
How could this happen? Who would do this to us? Somebodies just having a field day with my life huh?
I glanced over at Ashley who was glaring at me as if I were a mass murdered.
Oh boy, I'm in for it!
I pointedly ignored her. The teacher went on to give out our homework assignments and encouraged us to get together that night to study.
Great! I had been going to go job hunting. Now I have to spend the time studying with... ugh!,... Ashley Olsen!

We walked out of the class together. I'd been looking out the windows which lined the hallway when I heard Ashley drop one of her books. She picked it up and tried to put it on the pile with the rest (There were quite a few)
"Oh, don't offer to help or anything" She said sarcastically.
I sighed and took the books.
"Thank-you, How 'thoughtful' of you to 'offer' to take my books" She said even more sarcastically, stressing the words.
I sighed again. This was going to be a looooooooong night!
---Michael---
I knocked on Mary-Kate's dorm door and she soon answered the door.
"Hold my hand, I'm having a panic attack" I joked.
She wasn't sure if I was kidding or not so she took it. I had been kidding, but hey, pretty girl holding my hand. Like, I'm gonna mind!
"What's the matter?" She asked.
"First full day! So this is what we're gonna spend the next four years doing! I don't think I'll be able to" I pretended to swoon.
She nodded in agreement "Man, It's a lot huh?"
"Yup. Hey I need to get out of here. Wanna go somewhere?"
"Sure, Where?"
"Lets drive around till we find somewhere to stop"
"Fine by me" She grabbed a jacket and followed me out the door.
---Mary-Kate---
Michael and I ended up driving around for like, 15 minutes till we found something to do.
"There!" Michael said pointing out the window.
"What?" I asked looking in the direction he was pointing.
"The playground. Wanna be a kid again?"
I smiled "PERFECT!"
We went over to the playground and started playing.
I decided to crawl through this pipe that ran from one tower to the other but, Ifound that it was quite harder then when I'd last tried. I only just fit. Michael decided there was no way he would fit so he went over the top. I was halfway through when I suddenly thought of Winni-the-Pooh. You know in that story where he eats to much honey and gets stuck in the hole in the wall?
Well, that was it. I couldn't stop laughing. Michael who had finished climbing over and was waiting on the other side asked what was wrong. But, I still couldn't answer. He eventually leaned in, grabbed my hands and pulled me out. I just collapsed on the ground laughing and laughing.
"Girls" Michael said with mock seriousness, but then, even though he had no idea what I was laughing about, it caught and he started laughing too.
So there we were, two 18 year olds sitting in the middle of a playground laughing so hard we could barely breath!
"Ok ok" he said taking my hand "Wh-what are we laughing at?"
I just smiled stood up and took off running to the swings
"Hey get back here!" He yelled after me.
I stuck my tongue out at him and decided to forget about the swings and play tag with him "Betcha can't catch me!" I said running to the slide and climbing up
He climbed up after me, I slid down
"Ok enough my legs hurt!" I said as I collapsed on the ground.
"Ok want me to push u on the swings?" he asked me
"Sure" I walked over to the swings and hopped on.
Chapter 8:
---Micheal---
Well this is amazing.
She's beautiful.
She's fun! Most girls wouldn't be caught dead running and rolling around on the ground like kids!
"You gonna push me?" Mary-Kate asked looking up at me from her spot on the swing.
"Oh sorry!" I said snapping out of my daze
She laughed, almost as if she'd known what I was thinking. I blushed.
---Ashley---
"Ashley? Ashley!"
I snapped out of my day dream to hear Josh calling my name.
"What?" I asked irratabily
"Could you at least pretend to concentrate?"
"Touche!"
Josh just rolled his eyes
Guys!
---Josh---
Girls!
"Fine" I said giving up "If we're not going to study. There's no use me being here. I'm leaving" I got up and walked to the door.
"What you mean you actually have a life? Something better to do?" She asked in a bored tone examining her fingernails.
"Ouch that really hurt!" I said in a sarcastic tone. It had hurt though. A lot. I left the room and slammed the door.
--Ashley--
"Josh. Wait-" I said. But it was too late he'd already left. I sighed. Did I actually say that? Since when was I such a horrible person?
I heard somebody at the door. A second later Josh walked in.
"Wait a minute. This is my dorm. You leave!" he said holding the door open and pointing out.
I'd been wondering how long it would take him to realize that. Holding back my laughter I walked out.
---Mary-Kate---
Michael had been pushing me on the swing for a few minutes when he suddenly stopped.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
He sat in the swing next to me and looked at me seriously.
"Mary-Kate? I was wondering..."
---Micheal---
"Yeah?" Mary-Kate asked looking at me questioningly.
"Would you be my girlfriend?" I choked out.
"Yes!" She screamed as she jumped up and hugged me and kissed me on the lips, I put my hands at her waist and smiled, on the inside, on the outside I was too busy kissing her.
All of a sudden a bunch of little kids walked past, after all we were at a playground, "EWWWW!!!" they all called out.
---Mary-Kate---
I just ignored the little kids and kept kissing Michael. I was also ignoring the warnings in my head. The ones that kept saying things like 'You shouldn't start a serious relationship so early in the school year' 'this is a mistake!'
After like 5 minutes of kissing we pulled back from each other.
"wow" Michael said.
I smiled and giggled
---A month passed and everyone settled down in their new lives. Michael and Mary-Kate couldn't have been happier together and their relationship had gone really well. Almost too well, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fight in the near future. And Josh and Ashley, the King and Queen of Fighting. Well, they'd learned to at least be civil to each other. But now, A month later. This was when their real adventure began!---
Chapter 9:
---Josh---
Ash and I had another late night study session. We'd heard a rumor that there was a pop quiz coming up so we wanted to be prepared.
At about 1am Ashley was barely keeping her head up. By 2pm she was snoring. I was going to wake her up but then decided not to. When she's asleep she looks almost...sweet. Something she certainly doesn't when she's awake. And well, if I woke her up. it would be the normal Ashley again.
So instead I slipped a pillow under her head and threw a blanket over her, then went to my room. The couch should be comfortable enough.
---Mary-Kate---
I was woken early on the monday morning (my 5th at college) by the sound of the phone.
I fell out of bed and crawled over to answer it (Ok, so it was 10pm! That's early to me!)
"Hello?" I mumbled.
"Mary-kate?" A familiar voice asked.
"Robert Thorne?" I asked surprised
"Yeah, anyway.." he began quickly. He was always in a hurry "I was wondering, I know you've just started at college and everything. But could you spare a few weeks to star in a movie?"
"What?! I thought we agreed. No movies while at college. Ash and I want to totally dedicate the time to studying"
"It would only be a few weeks. An hour each afternoon for a month would do it"
"NO!"
"Come on, At least talk to Ashley about it. I'll call you tomorrow. Bye!" He hung up.
"Augh! That man!" I said annoyed. I set off to find Ashley.
---Ashley---
I was awoken by insistent pounding on the door. I looked around. Where on earth was I?
Just then Josh walked into the room. What on earth was he doing here?
"Sleep well?" he asked then seeing my confused face explained "You fell asleep when we were studying"
"oh" was all I said.
He opened the door. "Hey Mary-Kate."
"Hi, Nikola said Ashley didn't get back from studying last night. Have you seen her?" I heard my sister ask worriedly.
"I'm right here, Mary-Kate" I said rubbing the sleep from my eyes and getting up.
"I was soo worried" Mary-kate said running over to hug me.
I hugged her back "Chill, sis. You worry too much!"
She quickly pulled away though and glanced from Josh to me "What on earth are you doing here?!"
---Josh---
"She fell asleep when we were studying last night" I explained quickly.
Ashley stared at me with an expression of astonishment "And you didn't go and find the iciest water you could and dump it on me?!?!"
"I should have!"
She glared.
"Thanks for looking after her Josh" Mary-Kate said as she ushered Ashley to the door "See you round"
And before Ashley or I could say anything they'd left.

"You gotta be kidding me!" I exlaimed when Mary-Kate told me about Roberts phone call.
"I know!"
"We can't do it! There's no way! I'm already swamped with study"
"Me too"
"Then it's agreed?"
"Agreed" And after such a short conversation it was decided no way we'd do the movie. We smiled and high fived each other.
"I gotta go call Michael. See you later" Mary-Kate left.
I shook my head, Those two spent pretty much every spare minute together. They were totally crazy about each other!
Chapter 10:
---Michael---
Mary-Kate and I strolled thru the park together and she told me about Robert Thorne.
"Wow" I said.
"I know" She said with a frown.
I leaned down and kissed her and she kissed back. Then would you believe it? the same kids who'd been at the park walked by.
"Ewww!" they chorused.
Mary-kate and I just laughed.
---Ashley---
I'd just got back from another 2 hour study session with Josh.
Time spent studying = 50 minutes
Time spent arguing = 1 hour
Time spent ignoring each other = 10 minutes
And you know what? That's actually an improvement!!!!
I sighed and picked up my book. I tried to read but it didn't make any sense. Duh!
I hit my head. It was upside down. I turned it around. Nope, still didn't make sense.
I heard a knock at the door and smiled. Anything, for an excuse to stop studying.
I opened it.
"Robert Thorne what are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you. Where's Mary-Kate?" He walked in without being asked and surveyed the room.
"I'm busy and so's she"
"It's important"
"Fine! I'll call her!" I stomped over to the phone.
---Mary-Kate---
I so didn't believe Ashley when she told me Robert was there. That's why I actually screamed when I saw him in Ashley's dorm, sitting on the sofa sipping a coffee.
Ashley looked at me with a look clearly saying "HELP!"
"Oh, good. Mary-kate you're here" Robert said ignoring the fact that I'd screamed at the site of him. "I have the script for the movie. And, all I ask is that you at least read it over." He handed us each a piece of paper.
"The crew are ready to start shooting and with special effects and such it only requires you shoot a total of 20 scenes. That should take more then 48 hours work non-stop. Now, I have an appointment to go to, I'll call you tomorrow to find out your final decision"
He left before Ashley and I could say a word.
"Ugh!" we both said in unison, glaring at the door he'd just exited through.
---Ashley---
"Wow" I said setting the paper down on the coffee table.
Mary-Kate and I had decided that we might as well read the script, and I had just finished.
Mary-Kate set hers down too "I can't believe it" she said
"I know, it's actually got a plot!" I was astounded
"And characters" Mary-Kate blinked in surprise.
"It's great!"
"I almost cried!"
"Me too!" We took each others hands and looked at each other excitedly.
"What should we do?"
"I think we should make it" I said.
She smiled. "Me too!"
"After all it's only 48 hours of filming. We can fit that in"
"Totally an hour a day. 48 days"
We smiled at each other.
---Michael---
I looked at Mary-Kate surprised "You're gonna make the movie?"
"Well, yeah. It's a great script. It'd be great to make a movie that actually means something"
"Just Yesterday you were complaing about this Thorne guy even suggesting it and now you're totally confident you wanna do it? Talk about mood swing"
"Hmmpphhh" She said punching me in the arm.
"Ow!"
"Here" She handed him the script. You read it and you'll see why I want to do it"
I took it with a smile "You're on"
--Mary-Kate--
Man, Michael is one slow reader. We'd been sitting on what we now call 'our bench' at the park for ages. He'd been reading and I'd been,...doing nothing. And I was starting to get pretty sick of it.
Finally! He handed me the script.
"Wow!" he said "I take back what I said"
I grinned with satisfaction.
"Thank-you" I said leaning over to kiss him.
"So you think I should do it?" I asked when we pulled apart.
"If its what you want" He responded.
"Good cause I was going to anyway!"
He made a face at me. I made one right back
He laughed and slung an arm around my shoulder.
"Such a cutie" he said
"I know" I smiled "Least it makes one of us!"
He laughed then pretended to glare "Im hungry how about you?"
I laughed "You're ALWAYS hungry! But lets go!"
We kissed for a second then got up
