A lot of things have changed.
Mary-Kate recovered from her accident. And as a result of it Michael started getting grief counselling. But, sadly things didn't work out for the two. Mary-Kate caught him kissing some girl at the movies. They're no longer on speaking terms.
As for Ashley and Jonathon. Their relationship remained confusing. The kiss at the hospital was their last. And, since their class finished they quit with the 'civil rule' and haven't spoken.
But life never goes as we expect. Things change.
For these four students. Their life has settled down into routine.
But,... life is about to throw a spanner in the works and take them far out of their comfort zone.
Chapter 1:
"Acting classes" I read "Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at NCU. Building 9" I laughed to myself. Why am I even reading this? I put it back on the shelf and went back to reading the notices. But for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about it. I sighed and picked the brochure up again. I've never taken acting classes. I wonder what they'd be like. Hey, the critics keep going on and on about how Mary-Kate and I should take classes. Why not try it? At the very least it'll get them off our back and I could use it for our new movie.
Yup we still haven't shot it. Filming had to be put off until after Mary-Kate recovered. We'd start shooting in a month. Just enough time to fit in some classes.
I've made up my mind. I'll do it!
--Josh--
"I still can't believe you're taking acting classes!" Michael said to me laughing.
"Well, I am"
"Man, you're so not over Ashley"
"What has Ashley got to do with this?"
He just shook his head and walked into his room.
"He can talk" I said frustratedly.
My life was soooo confusing! But, I DO NOT miss Ashley! I AM SOO over her!!!! (I heard somewhere that if you keep telling yourself something maybe it'll come true)
--Mary-Kate--
You we my first slow dance.
Thought that we'd have a chance
But together was too hard for you
Mandy Moore crooned. I sighed and wiped a tear from my eyes. I couldn't believe I was listening to another heartache song but for some reason I'd taken rather a liking to them.
Quit breaking my heart
It's tearing apart
All I need is for you to be true
Too much to ask! Totally too much!
Quit breaking my heart
It's tearing us ap-
Melanie turned the cd off. "Girl, you gotta stop doing this to yourself" She said.
"Doing what?" I mumbled around a mouthful of chocolate.
Melanie looked at me. She took in my messy hair. Sloppy clothes and the junk food spread around the room. She sighed and programmed the cd player to the next cd. I smiled knowing she wouldn't like it any more then Mandy.
Can't stop thinking about you
Hanson started playing
Can't stop thinking about you
Morning day or night
I tremble at your sight
It's impossible to fight, I've tried
Now you're in my head
And you mind I've read
Could recite the words you've said, now I
Can't stop thinking about y-
"Augh!" She said annoyed. She flicked to the next cd.
Can't believe that I'm a fool again
Now it was westife
I thought this love would never end
How was I to know?
You never told me
Can't believe that I'm a fool again
"That's it!" She firmly pressed the off button. Then walked over to me and pulled my off the couch. "Shoo" She waved her hands at me in a shooing motion.
"What?"
"Go to your room and get dressed. We're going out"
"But I don't wanna go out" I whined.
"Well, you are. Now go!"
I sighed and walked to my room. Meanwhile Melanie picked up the phone and invited Ashley.
Chapter 2:
--Michael--
My friend Sam and I walked into Bloomingdales.
"Man, remind me why we're here again?" I said looking around the store with distaste. I'd never been one for shopping and Bloomingdales was my idea of a nightmare!
"I need a gift for Casandra" He said referring to his girlfriend
"Oh," I said with a sigh "Well, lets get it over as quickly as possible"
~*~
"What about this one?" The lady asked showing Sam a silver bracelet.
He shook his head "Not her style"
I forced myself not to stomp my feet in frustration. We'd been here for half an hour and Sam was no closer to making a decision. Just then I spotted someone.
"Hide me" I said trying to hide behind the counter.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked looking at me as if I were crazy.
"It's Mary-Kate" I hissed.
He glanced over to Where Mary-Kate, Ashley and Melanie were looking at jewellry and laughing together.
"Oh, That chick who dumped you?" He asked.
"Yeah. I don't get it. Here I am totally miserable. And she's hanging out with friends and laughing as if nothing were wrong!"
"Why'd you break up again?"
"She saw me and a girl kissing me at the movies"
"The girl kissed you?"
"yeah"
"Well, what's the problem? You didn't kiss her"
"Yeah, but I didn't stop it either"
He nodded his head "Oh" he patted me on the back "Bummer man" he turned back to the lady at the counter. "Do you have one of those in gold?"
I sighed and rested my head against the counter. Life bites sometimes!
--Mary-Kate--
I smiled a fake smile while Ashley and Melanie laughed together. This 'outing' was hideous!
"So how are things with you and David?" Melanie asked Ashley.
"Great! He's the best boyfriend ever!" Ashley gushed.
I rolled my eyes and glanced around the room. I saw a cute guy at one of the counters. Our eyes met and he started walking over. Oh No! Oh No! I looked around for a quick escape.
"Um, Guys I gotta go to the bathroom" I said before rushing off.
***
I splashed some water on my face and looked in the mirror. What's wrong with me? Since when do I run away from cute boys? Melanie's right I've got to stop doing this to myself. I took a deep breath and walked back to my friends.
"Mary-Kate there you are!" Ashley called grinning. "Come meet Scott"
I walked over to them and smiled at the guy. So Scott was his name. "Nice to meet you!" I said with a smile.
"You too" He said staring at me.
I noticed Melanie nudge Ashley and wink. Great, I realized too late what I'd gotten myself into. My room mate and my twin together! Matchmakers extroadanaire!
"Mark was just telling us how he wanted to see 'A Beautiful Mind'" Ashley said "You really wanted to see that didn't you?"
"Um, yeah" I said. I gave her a warning look. She looked away with a smile.
"It's screening in 10 minutes" Scott said "Would you like to go?"
Now, I'm not in the habit of accepting movie dates from a guy I met 5 minutes ago and I was about to open my mouth and say no when there was a crash from across the room. I glanced to the source of the sound to see Michael standing next to a display he'd knocked over. Our eyes met and I could tell from how red his cheeks were that he'd been spying on me. I lifted my chin determinedly and turned to Scott "I'd love to" I said with a smile.
Ashley and Melanie grinned.
Chapter 3:
--Michael--
I was sooooooo embarrassed when Mary-Kate spotted me. She actually caught me spying on her! And WHO was that guy she was with? She and the mystery guy waved at Melanie and Ashley and started walking away. Woah! What's going on here? I decided to wait a minute then follow them. This time hiding myself completely.
***
The movies? Oh Man, this brings back bad memories.
"HOW COULD YOU!?!?!" Mary-Kate yelled at me in the movie lobby. I'd followed her out there after Rachel kissed me and Mary-Kate witnessed it.
"It's not what it looks like!"
"YOU KISSED HER!"
"SHE KISSED ME!"
Everyone was staring but for once I didn't care.
"OH OK, AND IT TOOK YOU 2 MINUTES TO PULL AWAY!?!?" She threw her hands into the air "good one Michael" She said now calm. She then stormed out of the lobby and out of my life
That had been the last time I saw her,... until today. Sure I tried calling her. Melanie always answered and gave me some pathetic excuse for Mary-Kate not being there. Eventually I just gave up. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.
Back to the present I saw them buy tickets to beautiful mind and got some myself. I then sat in the back row and proceeded to spy on my ex-girlfriend.
--Ashley--
"So, how do you think it's going?" I asked Melanie.
She grinned "I think it's going great. You're good, girl!"
I smiled "Thank-You. Thank-You!" I pretended to bow. She laughed.
--Zac*--
I glanced at the phone. Did I have the guts to call her?
Mary-Kate and I broke up after 2 years of dating. Neither of us really wanted to. But, the strain of a long distance relationship got too hard. I've missed her every day since.
I finally summoned up the courage and picked up the phone.
"And then she said- Hey who's there?"
Great! Jessica was on the phone.
"Sorry Jess" I said then hung up. So much for my couragous phone call! Who knows when Jess'll get off the phone!
--Josh--
I turned the tv on and prepared for a night of popcorn and channel surfing. Man, the selection on tv these days bites!

I sat there totally surprised. And watched on screen as Ashley as Chloe, to prove she wasn't predictable kissed some guy. Ashley predictable? NOOOOOOOO way!

It had taken all my will power to change the channel. But, I did. I sighed and settled down to watch the war movie.
--Mary-Kate--
I had fun at the movie. 'A beautiful mind' was good and Scott was nice. But I could tell after half an hour that we weren't meant to be. I think he felt it too.
I sighed and walked into the dorm.
I was suddenly swamped by my sister and room mate.
"How was it?"
"Wasn't he cute?!?"
Honestly!
"It was fine" I said. I walked over to the phone and listened to the messages.
They were all pretty boring until I got to the 2nd.
"Um, Hey Mary-Kate" A nervous voice said "This is Zac. Long time no hear! Well, I just wanted to call and say hi. See how you were. Your mum gave me your number. College in New York huh? Your dream" I smiled. He rememered. There was some noise in the background "Oh man, Tay wants to ring his friend. Gotta go. Call me sometime"
I had a smile from ear to ear and for the first time in months I couldn't even remember Michael's name.
Chapter 4:
I glanced at my twin worriedly. What was with the grin?
"Who was that?" I asked casually.
"Zac" she said grinning.
"THE Zac?" I asked surprised.
She nodded still grinning.
Melanie glanced from one of us to the other "W-Who's Zac?"
"Her ex-boyfriend" I said.
That word seemed to knock Mary-Kate out of her daze. And the smile left her face. "My ex" She said quietly.
***
"Well, here goes" I said to myself then walked up the stairs to where my acting or as I liked to call it 'drama class' was being held. The building was quiet a way from the dorms so it was a half hour drive. But, I was here and TOTALLY prepared for my first class. Or at least. That's what I thought.
--Josh--
I'd been sitting in one of the chairs waiting for the class to begin when a rather familiar person walked in the door. I did a double take "Ashley?"
Almost as if she heard me (which she couldn't have) she glanced in my direction and her face paled dramaticly. I wouldn't have been surprised if she passed out.
She shook her head. Almost as if she was saying "This isn't happening. This isn't happening"
I soo wished she was right!
--Ashley--
"This isn't happening! This ISN'T happening!" I told myself.
I closed my eyes then opened them again. Darn! He was still there! Oh man! And now he's walking over here!!!!!
--Zac--
Ring! Ring!
I raced towards the phone but Tay snapped it up before I got there.
"Hello?" he asked. He stuck his tongue out at me. Honestly, you could fool me that he's 21! "Zac? Yeah, he's here.. somewhere" He covered the mouthpiece with his hand "ZAC!" He yelled practically in my face.
I glared at him and snatched the phone from his hand
"Hello?" I asked.
"Zac? It's Mary-Kate"
I almost dropped the phone "Mary-Kate! Wow! Hi!" I said then winced. Stop with the exlaiming!
"Hi" She said and I could hear the smile in her voice.
--Josh--
"Ok. What are you doing here?" I asked Ashley rather angrily.
"I could ask the same of you" She said equally angry
"I signed up for this class first!"
"Says who?"
We glared at each other.
"Could everyone be seated and we will begin" The teacher started.
With one final glare we found seats. As far away from each other as the room would permit!
Chapter 5:
"ugh!" Ashley stormed into the room, Slamming the door behind her.
"What is it?" I asked concerned.
"That guy is the most dispacable" She hadn't heard me "Annoying.."
"Aaaashley" I said trying to get her attention.
"Typical! MALE on the planet!" She stomped her foot for emphasis.
"Who?" I asked.
She looked at me. Finally seeing me "Josh" She said with a pout.
"What did he do?"
"He's in my drama class"
I just sat there for a split second then burst out laughing.
Ashley glared at me "It's not funny!"
I just kept laughing "What... are... the odds?" I said between laughter.
Ashley pouted.
The phone rang and she went to answer it. "hello?" she looked puzzled "Zac? Long time no talk. Sure I'll get her"
She went to hand me the phone. I grinned and took it. She sighed and stomped out the door.
I just shook my head. "My twin is crazy" I informed Zac.
--Josh--
"Ugh!" Josh stormed into our dorm. Slamming the door firmly behind him.
"Sup?" I asked.
"That girl is the most dispacable" He didn't hear me "Annoying.."
"Yo! Josh!" I said waving my hand in front of his face trying to get his attention.
"Typical! FEMALE on the planet!" He shouted
"Who?" I asked.
"Miss. Ashley Olsen. She's in my drama class. Can you believe it? Does she have some sort of goal to ruin my life? To stop me living it? AUGH!" He stormed into his room leaving me laughing hysterically.
What are the odds?
