Hmm a surprise?What could it be?
"Well do u want to know?"zac said snapping me out of my guessing
"Yeah of course!"
"Im coming to visit you in NY!!"Zac told me
I smiled ear to ear and jumped up and down luckly he couldnt see
"When?" I asked.
"Well, I posted u the details. They should be there by now"
"Ok" I said "I'll go check my mail"
I walked to the door and opened it and....
"ZAC!"
I hugged him "Its so great to see you!"i told him
"You to"he said as we walked inside my dorm with arms around each other
"Hold on"i told him "Mel come here!!!"
"What is it marykate?"she said coming out of her room her hair wrapped up in a towel her mouth dropped to the floor
I smiled "Melanie this is Zac"
"W-Wait this"she said pointing to him "This is the zac as in ur ex boy friend?"
Melanie that big mouth grrr!
Zac blushed
"yes melanie this is zac"i said in a aggrivated tone
She squealed(sp) "Marykate you dated ZAC HANSON!"
"Yes" I said through gritted teeth.
"Zac. Enjoy this meeting it'll be the last time you see her. Considering she won't exist when I get thru with her." I glared at Melanie.
She just grinned.
"O well i need to dry my hair"melanie said "Nice meeting you"she said to him extending her hand
He shook it. But melanie didnt let go
"Melanie u can let go now"i told her pulling her hand away from his
"S-sorry"she said she walked backwards to her room "Bye!"she said as she turned around *Smack!* she hit the door She turned back around blushed smiled and then slipped into her room

We laughed at her Then there was the dreaded silence as we both looked at each other then at the ground
"So is there anyway we can get something to eat around here?"i asked her
"Yeah of course sorry for not asking you must be starved silly me"she told me very nervously
I laughed nervously.
We walked out the door
As we walked out just about every girl we pasted starred at us but finally we made it to the car
Chapter 7:
'Autumn in New York' I observed.
"Yeah" she said with a smile "Let's go to the park!"

Well, my dream class has turned into a nightmare! I don't know what I should do. Quit?
But I am NOT a quiter!
I just don't wanna be in the same class with jooooosh.

Zac and i walked to the park which brought horrible memories
"Lets sit here"zac said
I looked down it was the bench that micheal and i had always sat on
"Um, lets sit under that tree" I said pointing.
He gave me a funny look. "You wanna sit on the ground?"
"Y-yeah"
He shook his head with a look that clearly said 'girls' "Ok then"
We walked over to the tree and sat down. We talked. But after awhile I lost track of the time. You see we were sitting amongst heaps of leaves and well, Zac's hear looked a little too tidy.
I grinned and picked up a handful of leaves. Before he knew what was going on. I'd thrown them at him.
He had leaves stuck in his hair and all over him. He looked like a scare crow. I burst out laughing.
"Oh, you think that's funny do you?" He said with a smirk. "Nu-uh! This is funny"
He picked up a HUGE handfull of leaves and threw that at me.
"AUGH!" I screamed and laughed. "You're so gonna get it!"
What proceeded was a very fun leaf war.
We eventually fell to the ground trying to get our breath back.
"T-that,..was..fun" I said laughing a little.
"Y-Yeah" Zac agreed. "You've got leaves all thru your hair" he said and leaned over to untangle one.
I was suddenly aware of how close his face was. And by the look on it he was too.
Chapter 8:
He paused and looked into my eyes as i looked in to his He leaned in as i leaned in...

"Now we will be doing the play of romea and juliet"the acting teacher said
Romeo and Juliet hmmm ive always wanted to be in that play we did it once at my school but i was out of town so i couldnt be in it and i would love to play Juliet.
"I have the cast list here" The teacher said and picked up a piece of paper
The teacher walked around the room handing out scripts and telling kids who they would be
"Ashley Olsen..."The teacher said i closed my eyes and crossed my fingers Please be Juliet,Please be juliet "You will play Juliet"the teacher said as she laid the script down on her desk
Yes i got it! I got it i got it!!!!Yay!
I didnt even pay attention to the rest of the peoples names i just starred at my script thinking about being juliet until i heard Josh's name
"...You will play"the teacher said pausing to look at her list "Romeo"
NO NO NO NO!! This did not just happen!! I thought
He looked over at me in horror i looked right back
I raised my hand "Miss Layton there has to be some mistake!"
"Im sorry ashley theres no mistake you both have great acting skills and would be perfect for these parts"she said "And if you quit i will be forced to give u an F"
Well there goes the idea for quitting but there is noway i can be in this with josh just noway!

"B-But we're the worst possible couple" I insisted "The play would be a disaster!"
The teacher disagree "You two obviously have chemistry. I think the play will be a hit"
Me and Ashley chemistry? Yeah right i said chuckling it looked as if ashley was doing the same
We were soon silenced by a glare.
"I'm sorry. But, I just can't do the part if she's Juliet" I said
"You can do it or you can leave the class" The teacher said.
I shut up after that.
"I don't see what you were complaining about" One of my classmates said as we walked outside "Josh is soooo cute"
I looked at her in shock "Cute?"
"Yeah. Well, see you tomorrow" She waved and walked off.
Just then Josh walked out. I pointedly ignored him. I opened my purse and looked for my car keys.
Uh-oh!
Chapter 9:
We sat there for awhile just tenderly kissing

I was sitting in my room doing nothing, which i had often been doing when i decided to go get some fresh air. I walked down the street till I came to the park i looked around no one was there except a young couple kissing under a tree i thought back to when marykate and i used to kiss in this very same park as i looked closer i realized the girl had a very uncanny reasemblence to Marykate. It couldnt be, could it? I mean would she? Then i heard her laugh, only one girl could have that laugh, MaryKate Olsen. I sighed and hung my head as i tried to hide the tears i felt forming in my eyes
--Mary-Kate--
I was home, In his arms. And I wondered something. Something I'd truly never wondered before. Was this where I belonged? Was this where I wanted to spend the rest of my life?
The thought made me kind of uncomfortable. Or maybe it was the presence I felt. It was like someone was standing there in the park. I gently pulled back and glanced around.
What I saw totally shocked me.
I must have sat there for like a full minute. Mouth hanging open staring at Michael. Now, this is uncomfortable. Face to face with one ex-boyfriend while in the arms of another.
"Um,... Michael...hi" I said trying to smile. It came out more of a grimace.
Zac glanced from my face to Michaels, questioningly.
"Hi" Michael said coldly, but with a definite edge of sadness. Was that tears I saw in his eyes?
"Um, Zac this is Michael. Michael this is Zac" I decided to leave out the ex-boyfriend parts.
Zac got up and shook Michael's hand. They seemed friendly enough but I cought them sizing the other up. I got up quickly and brushed the leaves off. I tried to untangle some out of my hair but it was pretty useless.
"Here, let me help you" Zac said coming over and gently untangling them. He smiled at me tenderly. I smiled back. I glanced over at Michael. He looked away.
"Well, I better be going" He said then walked off.
"Bye" I said quietly. But he was already long gone.
"So, who was he?" Zac asked as he ran his fingers through my hair.
Uh-oh. How do I answer that question?
"Oh, a friend" I said. I winced. Oh man, I'm gonna regret that someday.
"Oh" Zac didn't look quite convinced.
"Yeah, he's a roomate of a 'friend' of Ashley's" I said and proceeded to tell him about Ashley and Josh's relationship, hoping to change the subject and lighten it a little.
Minutes later Zac and I were laughing together. The subject of Michael and I's 'friendship' long forgotten.

I sulked home kicking rocks as i went figuring marykate would never be again
--Ashley--
Oh no! Oh No! Oh No! This can't be happening!
I ran over to my car and looked inside. There were the keys sitting on the front seat. It was as if they were laughing at me. I turned away and glanced around. The schools front door was locked and everyone was gone. Everyone that is, except for Josh.
I gulped then glanced up at the sky. "This is NOT funny" I said looking up. I swallowed my pride and walked up to him.

I heard footsteps approaching and turned to see who it was. I was RATHER surprised to see Ashley standing there.
"I locked my keys in the car" She said getting straight to the point "Can you give me a ride?"
I could tell by the expression on her face that she was finding this rather difficult. I grinned. This should be fun.
"What? You want a ride? From me?" I said staring at her with mock unbelief.
"Yes" She said through gritted teeth.
"Why, Juliet without her carriage." I grinned some more and leaned on my car "What's the magic word"
She glared at me.

I WON'T DO IT! I WILL NOT GROVEL!
I just glared at him. He raised his eyebrows waiting.
"P-L-E-A-S-E" I said thru VERY gritted teeth. So gritted they were hurting.
He tapped his chin considering. He did this for what seemed an hour but was probably only a minute. "Ok" he said finally.

How ironic, it started to rain. I rested my chin in my hands and stared out the window as New York City flew past. Josh and I hadn't said a word since I got in the car. And there was a stormy cloud hanging over the car (And I'm not talking about the weather) The silence must have got to him cause he finally said something.
"So, hows Mary-Kate?" That was probably the only safe subject he could think of.
"She's doing ok. She was really depressed for awhile. But then her,... her ex-boyfriend got back in touch and they've been talking a lot"
He glanced at me "Do you think they'll get back together?"
"I wouldn't be surprised" I said honestly
He looked sad "Poor Michael" He said. "He's been really down lately"
I didn't have an answer for that and we stopped talking.
It was like, when you play tag. You're allowed to touch base and be safe. But you can only stay there for 10 seconds. Then you must return to the danger of the game. Mary-Kate and Michael were Josh and I's 'base' sadly our 10 seconds were up and we went back to stony silence.
Chapter 10:
--Michael--
I soon reached the school campus and was about to go inside. When Ashley and Josh drove up and stopped next to me.
"What are you doing walking in the rain?"josh asked me
"Its raining?"i asked him i hadnt even noticed since all i had been thinking about was marykate
"Um, yeah" Ashley said as she got out of the car "I see what you mean" She whispered to Josh loud enough for me to hear "Well, thanks for the ride" She walked away.
I decided to let the remark go and turned to Josh "So... what's that about?" I asked. I raised my eyebrows.
"It was totally inocent dont get any ideas she looked her car keys up and i gave her a ride home"he told me
I looked at him suspicially(sp)
He made a face at me and got out of the car.
"So where were u?"he asked me tring to change the subject i guessed
I looked very uneasy
"The park" I said sadly
"I thought you loved the park?"
"I do. I just don't love seeing Mary-Kate make out with some popstar" Yes I had recognized Zac.
Josh looked surprised, but also like he'd expected it.
"You knew about this?" I asked.
He nodded his head.
"Well, Ash mentioned him before" he added.

I Stomped to my dorm. The whole trip with Josh had made me edgy and so when I got inside I wasn't exactly that happy to see Nikola sitting on the couch. Was she? Crying?
I walked over and sat down next to her.
"I-it's today" She said between tears.
"What is?" I asked. I glanced over at the calender and saw the date.
September 11th.
Oh.
We just sat there for a few minutes before she said anything.
"My father died that day" she said between tears.
I was shocked.
"I'm so sorry" I said genuinely.
