So you want a site?

I often get people asking me to help them start a site. So I made this page to hopefully help out those just starting.

The first thing you need for a site is a host. The top freehosting sites on the net are Angelfire and Geocities. You can sign up for an account there. You'll also find that each site has a page builder that will help you build your site while you're still learning HTML.

Which brings us to HTML. HTML is the language behind every webpage. Various codes make various things on a webpage work. You don't need to know too much html to run a basic web-site. But the more you learn the better. Some good sites to help you learn HTML are Lisa Explains HTML and Funky Chickens

A good graphics programme can also come in handy. Play around with the programmes you have on your computer and do a web search for better ones. Good graphics add a lot to a page.

There is a lot more to making a web-site but this should help you get started. Remember, when making your web-site the most important thing is that you have fun!
